HAZEL M. MILLER

Savannah Hazel Muggridge Miller, 87, died Monday evening, August 14, 2006, at Savannah Square Retirement Community under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Cairo, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Will L. Muggridge and Mellie Lewis Muggridge. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Tennille United Methodist Church. She was a 1939 graduate of Georgia State Womans College, Valdosta, Georgia, and was a retired school teacher of the Washington County Public School System.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Scott Miller; three sisters and one brother.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, John Dennard Miller, formerly of Tennille, Georgia; two sons, John D. Miller, Jr. and wife Sandra C. Miller of Waxhaw, North Carolina; Jerry L. Miller and his wife Margaret J. Miller of Savannah, Georgia; her grandson, David S. Miller and his wife Lisa Miller of Charlotte, North Carolina; Cathy P. Miller, widow of Michael Scott Miller of San Diego, California; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2006 at graveside Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery, Gordon, Georgia, conducted by Reverend Peter Barlow.
